As I have already described in a previous blog entry , I graduated in the past 8 weeks the so-called "complex block." During this training period, I mixed the scale, intensity and endurance competition units, together with a (hopefully) successful training pie. The facts: My training data and test results are competitive as well as never before. Especially in the running I was finally able to train for several weeks without any major problems and achieve all of my workout. I the total volume, compared to my last Ironman preparation in 2008, would not increase I reduced the hours on the bike in favor of the running. That is now not that I judge myself on the bike less than in 2008, on the contrary, through the consistent use of the SRM power meter, I was able to increase significantly the quality of bike training, the race in Worms gave me for the confirmation. In swimming, I concentrated on building a very long time as economic and technology have this now with a lot of tough-speed and long endurance power units for the "competition ready" position.
Now go another 12 days until the "showdown" in Frankfurt - I am happy!
Here are some numbers of my preparation (32 weeks) for the Ironman Germany:
Total Hours: 435H (100%)
Swimming: 77h (18%)
Wheel: 227h (52%)
Running: 126H (29%)
competitions 5h (1%)
