The horticultural show is not serious lack of responsibility to make affordable
(ulu) 80% of those citizens have called for a national garden show in Aalen.
This is a positive atmosphere, but on closer inspection about as meaningful as an answer to the question: "Would you like a new TV?" or "What do you think of vacation?"
first course, hardly anyone has objections to such an event. I would like too. We must do everything eventually. But we know that not every wish can come true.
fact is that the city of Aalen is in debt now above average. From our taxes have almost 11 per day 000 is only paid in interest on loans taken already.
eels can not afford high in view of this debt and falling tax revenue, the horticultural show.
etc. But how are you now? A look into the future:
The council will put forward a funding approach that is likely a mixture of grants, reserves and credit, which will include. Maybe some funds from entrance fees are included. That sounds very good then and manageable. The council may agree and can not resist. Eels may receive the award for the Garden Fair. At some point over the years is well known that the cost to be canceled is much higher than expected and no one could have foreseen this.
For a termination of the plans now is too late. Some city councilors are knocking on the table (looks great with the audience), and emphasize that they accept only grudgingly and with a clenched fist in the pocket. Others will criticize the administration by pointing out one is, as usual, was not informed fully and timely.
is total, the garden show is now so expensive that even decades after Aalen even nibble at the mountain of debt will have and the money is needed elsewhere.
The proposal by Lord Mayor Gerlach, in the City Council conduct a roll call vote on the horticultural show, is welcome so much. The citizens should know who they owe a further rise in debt.
